The World’s most decorated Trial rider Toni Bou – Repsol Honda will headline a star-studded entry as the famous Sheffield Indoor Trial celebrates its 25thanniversary when it returns to the FlyDSA Arena on Saturday 28thDecember 2019. Having recently secured his 26thFIM World title, Bou will be very much the favourite when he arrives back in Yorkshire later this year and will again face tough opposition from his long time and fierce rival Adam Raga – TRS, who has now been adopted almost as one of their own by the British fans thanks to his long association with this highly applauded annual event.

Home supporters will again have plenty of reasons to bring out their Union Jack flags too with Yorkshire’s very own James Dabill – Beta topping the list of UK challengers who will look to secure a long overdue home win. Dabill will be counting on his huge experience at this event and plenty of noisy encouragement from the crowd, as he goes on an all out assault to finally get his hands on the main trophy having previously taken his place on the podium.

One or more British contenders will join Dabill in the main event, with a qualifying – winner takes all shoot-out planned during the early part of the evening between selected wildcards to decide who will book their place in the Trial proper alongside the invited line up. Event promoters Avondale Management remain in contact and negotiations with other top-level international riders, with them having a watchful eye on the current form of their short-listed names to ensure the very best line up is assembled for the 25thanniversary edition of the event. Further details regarding riders will be made in due course.

As has become the tradition, tickets will go on sale – Thursday 1stAugust – with ticket prices held again at the same level as the previous editions - £32.50 for adults and £22.50 for under 14s. Standard tickets can be purchased from the arena box office - 0114 256 56 56 or online at – A limited number of VIP tickets - £99.95 - will again be available exclusively from G2F Media – 0161 763 6660 or online at

The 25thanniversary of the Sheffield Indoor Trial will be especially poignant as it is run in joint memory of its founders Martin Lampkin and Neil Crosswaite, with the respective families working together to ensure that a fitting event is delivered on this historic occasion in celebration of the two men who were responsible for bringing World Indoor Trial to the UK more than 20 years ago.

This year’s event will start at 7.00pm and with the prize giving ceremony expected to take place around 10.30pm.
